Perspective
Is being together important? In this episode of Perspective, we take a closer look at the importance of being together, not just virtually but physically. Amid a global shutdown, we’ve seen both global and American resilience in coming together through technology to keep going to school, keep going to work, and even maintain social relationships while we are isolated. But we also know that even though we can remain in contact with our friends and family and we’re able to “be together” through zoom and other technologies, we’re missing out on being together physically. Even before the global shutdown, we were seeing the side effects of a culture that is shifting to a socially virtual one. Now that everyone is forced into virtual socialization, the importance of being together has never been more apparent.
